Royal Dar Es Salam Golf Club

Royal Golf Dar Es Salam is a 45 hole complex designed by Robert Trent Jones on behalf of King Hassan II in 1971. Acknowledged as one of the Top 100 courses in the world, it is the jewel of Moroccan golf and we would highly recommend playing there.
The Red Course is very long at over 6700 metres. A very technical course which obliges one to think and plan each shot, it is a another typical tough but fair Trent Jones course and we loved it! Its hole number 9 is famous worldwide: a large lake with the green at its centre and 172 metres played entirely over water. This course is the venue of the Hassan II Trophy open to invited top professionals from the PGA and European PGA tours and also ladies from the LET tour (who play on the Blue Course).
If the Red Course is particularly long, the Blue course can turn into a long run as well. Par eleven is a par 4 for 405 metres, as captivating in its beauty as it is in its difficulty. Trees and brambles narrow the fairway flanked by a lake with two large mimosa trees which will not stop the ball, obviously intended to finish in water! Not quite so demanding as the Red Course but nevertheless a good test.
The 9 hole Green Course is an 'Executive' course for a quick game (5 par 4's and 4 par 3's).
